This lovely vintage floral hand fan measures 14" across, when opened, and 10 1/4" long when closed. The pattern of branches of cherry blossoms is printed on the accordian pleated paper. I joined two tiny areas of the paper, near the top of the mohogany stained wooden frame of the fan, which is possibly bamboo. Made In China, and Chinese characters, are marked on the paper. It is a very pretty, light weight hand fan...perfect for those 'hot flashes', or to peer over demurely!
