KPM Porcelain Toast Rack, 7 OE inches long, 4 inches high, marked “KPM” in blue ink under the glaze on the bottom, incised “206” above and nearer to the end, gold leaf decoration, KPM stands for Konigliche Porzellan-Manufaktur in Berlin, Germany, probably late 1800’s-early 1900’s, very good condition with minor wear to the gold leaf, no chips or hairlines, a few tiny “bubble” holes along the edge of the base, beautifully modeled wheat sheaves held by curlicue fences, a perfect symbol of the staff of life that makes the bread for the toast that will be held in the 4 slots of this toast rack, excellent quality, even the deck of the toast rack is nicely decorated, nice age, a real beauty for the table.
