More about this item

Vintage Cedar Mesa Pottery Utah Native American artist signed pottery flower vase. This is the early version of the Desert Storm series - from the early 80s. It was inspired by a midnight drive thru the Monument Valley during a thunder storm. Hand painted and etched by the artist. This vase is 9" high with a 7" diameter at the largest point. Narrowest point on neck is 2 1/4". Cedar Mesa sticker and item number 20043 is still on the bottom. Artist signature is carved in the bottom - hard for me to read - possibly Butterfly Alpinji ???? (see photo) All of Cedar Mesa's pottery is hand decorated by members of the Navajo and Ute Tribes. In lovely condition, no major cracks, scratches or fading. No repairs. Some light scuffing and might be a fleabite or two.

Please note - this piece is too large to fit safely in a flat rate box.
