Please help asap. So frustrating.
When I sell something I am now getting this [URL removed]
Invalid weight for matching services, options and rate discount types.
These were all first class packages, and a big pain in the butt to have to go to the Post Office to purchase the postages just for Bonanza items…
Can someone help? I’d appreciate it. Also, I have changed a single setting in bonanza or eBay that would alter the listings…

The U.S. Post Service now allows First Class Mail packages to contain up to 16 ounces. Using PayPal shipping, the postage has a minimum charge and that means that the shipping cost is the same for packages that weigh 1-8 ounces. PayPal users get a BIG discount if you use their shipping service. Once you go over 9 ounces (and eventually up to 16), you will have a small increase for each and every additional ounce. If you use the P.O.‘s Click N Ship, you don’t get the discounts. For example a padded envelope or small box costs me between $2.60 (1-8 ounces) and up to $3.65 (for a 16 ounce pkg) to ship.
Once you exceed 16 ounces, the best way to ship is Priority Mail. Boxes can be obtained FREE from the local post office or from [URL removed] .
My local post office branch only has flat-rate priority boxes available. However, you can get the non-flat rate boxes from the usps website. They are a lot cheaper to use unless you are stuffing them with heavy items. For the 1-2 pound items that I tend to ship, non-flat rate boxes are cheaper for me to use. Also, you can use any plain box of your own for Priority Mail as long as it is not too large. Make sure it meets the PO’s guidelines for size, strength, etc. Priority Mail stickers (again, FREE) can be applied if needed.
If you ship via PayPal, you get a huge discount on shipping fees and you can print your own labels. Bonanza does allow you to print labels without having to go through PayPal, but there is a small surcharge added for that convenience.
To answer your question, I think that you might be exceeding the weight limit on what a First Class Package allows (16 ounce max).

Having PayPal set up in your booth, there is no reason to go to the Post Office…
Simply log in to your PayPal account find the sale and click on the link that says Print shipping label
PayPal has first class shipping up to 16 oz (enter 16 for 15.1-15.99 ounces and you will get the FC rate)
Secondly if you use the Bonanza shipping option, since Bonanza uses USPS webtools for shipping you will get exactly the same thing that is listed Click N ship…Click N Ship has not been updated for the the 13-15.9 oz option…
therefore anything above 13 oz will come back as invalid for first class…
If at anytime you need to print a shipping label at PayPal for a transaction that was not processed through PP, then you can use the shipnow link and create a shipping label

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
