Want to see if somebody has a new bonanza webstore?

If you want to see if a Bonanza booth owner has set up a webstore on Bonanza – whether they have their own domain name or not, you simply type the following into a browser address [URL removed]

[URL removed] (but, substitute their actual Bonanza User ID where indicated). You can also leave off the [URL removed] part if you want to.

For example, my Bonanza user ID is tomwayne1 and my webstore can be reached by either typing in one of the [URL removed]

tomwayne1.bonanza.com     (leave OFF the www. part as it is NOT needed and won’t work it)
[URL removed]     (leave OFF the www. part as it is NOT needed and won’t work with it)

or you can use my actual purchased domain name to find my webstore. Any of the following will [URL removed]

shopperlanesurplus.com     << read NOTE below to see why this is not an active link

www.shopperlanesurplus.com

[URL removed] In order for links to be active in this forum, either “www.” or “[URL removed]” must be part of the link – assuming that is required to make the link active. As stated above, neither one of those prefixes will work with the Bonanza path to a webstore. Your own domain name will usually work with/without one of those prefixes.

Of course, since sellers open webstores to build a brand name, the last 4 options above is what you will want to tell potential shoppers if you want them to go to your webstore.

Problem solved. Do NOT put a period at the end of your custom booth categories. It will work in your booth, but NOT in your webstore.

Thank you for this information!

Has anyone made a suggestion in the webstore forum to make the working URL and the active links be the same? I don’t want to use up one of my suggestions for one that has already been suggested and waiting to be approved.

Redirects need to be built in that can go to the webstore through the bonanza address whether a buyer uses the http, www, both of those, or none of those. That is pretty standard elsewhere.

And definitely, bonanzlers on the forums should be able to get there using an active link.
