Or any other payment options out there other than paypal that anyone uses? Direct checkout is sounding pretty good after hearing about paypal’s latest update, especially the buyer return update!! But i want to make sure direct checkout doesnt use any of paypal’s guidelines on returns or anything else.

You can also sign up for Checkout by Amazon (CBA)…

Also, realize it is up to the buyer credit card company’s policies..if they reverse the payment, they reverse the payment, not much you can do about that

paypal is my only choice on here – so no other options at the moment.
And I don’t think direct checkout will suit my needs anyway with regard to reporting shipping etc for payment.

Miss Keech –
I am kind of stuck, like others on Bonanza. I do not have enough sales for direct check out, or enough feedback as a result of the sales, so I have no other option but to use Paypal here on Bonanza.
Six months dispute/return/refund policy is ridiculous. How are we suppose to compete with brick and mortars with those stringent guidelines. I do not have a problem with a legitimate return policy, but six months is a little outrageous.
To answer your question – No, I have no idea if direct checkout’s policies coincide with paypals. If they do not or do really isn’t the question…because if they do not, they could always change it down the line – just like paypal has done.
You may have to ask admin about the direct check out’s policies.
Good Luck!
If you do get an answer, could you please post it on here.
Thanx – MaryAnn

Amazon checkout holds $$ for at least 2 weeks – if we cannot find some place other than paypal, I will have to quit all sites I sell on. I cannot afford to sell vintage items and hold funds for 6 months……..absolutely ridiculous!

Oh my goodness, I hadn’t read that yet – SIX months? What is going on with PayPal – it seems they’re going out of their way to make selling very difficult and risky. Some people are getting into Bitcoins – I was tempted to try that but after reading about it, it sounded a bit risky if I understood it correctly.
There’s money orders, but no one likes to use them because they take too long. And there’s Wire Transfers, but people don’t trust that.
What about e-checks? One site I purchase from uses those and it works quite well…
Well, count me in with those of you looking for a new solution.

I’m currently looking for other alternatives myself. Consider this [URL removed] USPS does not keep tracking information that long and Paypal needs online viewable proof that the item was delivered. So how will I be able to fight a “Item Not Recieved” claim if there is no proof? Sure does open it up for fraud.

Seriously, I do not see this policy change by paypal to effect me at all. I’ve never in 10 years, either with Bonanaza or ebay had a paypal transaction dispute. I see no big deal! I have direct pay and nobody ever uses it!

I’ve been selling on the internet since 2000 and been in the mail order book business since 1976 and have never taken anything but checks or money orders. No serious problems that couldn’t be solved. Yes have lost a few sales because I haven’t taken Paypal but my bank told me to stay away from Paypal so have. Maybe in the future I will consider Bonanza’s direct pay after they get it going and not require another payment service with it.
