I don’t sell many items geared to teenagers or college students, so I was wondering if anyone is experience the Back to School rush yet? Bella Vista Boutique |

I haven’t. Our school doesn’t start til after Labour Day, but I know lots in the US start earlier. I would think with the extreme heat, people would prefer to shop online than in the stores. Bookbin Etc Country Variety |

I sold a preschool backpack late last week. I did notice this past weekend that the mall was crowded, parking lot was full. Must be for back to school. txskys4ever |

The big box stores are selling a ton of stuff at extremely low prices. I bought two packages of envelopes today, and walked out with free composition pads, pens and pencils at less than a buck for everything. Hard to compete with that – people will buy backpacks, etc. at those places as well since they are “saving” so much money. Also, heavy advertisning going on for clothing and tax free days. Just sold my second heavy duty paper punch (one on Ebay, one elsewhere), so it looks like there is some equipment buying going on. |
