Before you tag items, go to dictionary.com and look up the words!

Especially “bohemian” and “vintage”.

Also, I don’t see how “Really?” could ever be construed as anything but insulting, so why does it exist?

Don’t know. I just tag what “Really” seems appropriate. After all I am betting big, you will approve.

I only remember one use of “Really” on my items and it was for a brooch shaped like a carrot. Somehow that seemed quite appropriate – I approved it anyway. LOL

Tagging is not nearly as fun as it was when we first started. I wonder about proud geek also. Could just be me but I find really and proud geek to be insulting.
Would be nice to be able to make up our on tags perhaps then it wouldn’t seem so repetitive and boring.

Oh, I am so with ya’ll. Some of this tagging is just plain insulting. How can you find that a table runner is “hardcore fan”. That is truly disgusting to me.Frankly, I find the word “hardcore” as having you mind and eyes where they should not be. Another word “vintage”, yes look up the actual meaning of that word. Brand new lace is not vintage and how many times do I reject that tag, I cannot tell you.

I am like Magenta, look up the meaning of these tags before you place them on items that have absolutely nothing to do with the item. Frankly, it is very boring and most of the tag words are not appropriate for the products.

I kind of enjoy it. But then one of my favorite tags is timeless. It seems to work for most situations. I just wish that they did have tags that are more appropriate for the items tagged. If they really are supposed to make smartphone shopping easier than it would be nice if the tags fit.

What I love the most about it is that it brings me to booths I would probably never visit. I have found some interesting things here that I have purchased through tagging and met some great people as well.

It is also fantastic to take money off of the monthly fees!!!!

I once had the tag left for my Desert Cookbook, “zombies attack” Could NOT figure out why someone would do that, sense of humor I guess. Each to his or her own

We are borderline as to whether we are going to continue allowing tagging of our items. What does it really do?

From my understanding, it helps your placement in searches. Many of the tags are rather ridiulous, I must agree.I don’t approve the ones that obviously do not apply.

I continuously get the tag ornate for simple jewelry designs that are not ornate at all!To me- at least….but maybe some people think any jewelry is ornate. Perception differences I suppose. Prospective customers may also have a different view of my items than I do…..as long as they like it, it’s all good to me!

Really-to me is not insulting. It means very unique or out of the ordinary or different…..keeping with Bonanza’s everything but the ordinary tag.

JMO this tag words the have for us sure needs a big time over haul, the need to use a dictionary to look up words for proper meanings of them.

Tagging helps your items show up better in the SITES search. I don’t think it helps with an outside internet search but I do recall when they first put tagging in, reading about it and it said it helps with stuff to show up better when someone does a site search.

Zombies love munching on US, my desert book has NO recipes for cooking up humans

The ones I get a lot and don’t like are useful and essential for toys. Toys are never useful or essential. I get just for friends every now and then, which doesn’t fit for toys either.

I like the one where in the title they put Hobo Hippie Bohemian all in the one title. Well, which is it?? Some people are just clueless.

If this helps in searches, can you even imagine what would possess a person to search using the criteria ‘zombie attack?" I should think that if they were looking for a horror movie – possibly, “Night of the Living Dead,” it would be applicable. BUT, just think about the number of really annoyed people would maybe, be a little disappointed that your cookbook didn’t have a lot of cannibal recipes in it……Just saying’.

@a2z Having a special needs boy I find some toys effective and essential. I thought hardcore fan meant people that is really deeply into something. As far as ornate I think of things with lots of beads. I think depending on where people are from the personal definitions are different. Zombies attack on the cookbook I don’t know what to say about that one.

The tags for books are pathetic. None of them really have any meaning for craft books. I think some of the Boyz who made up the tags are not as well rounded as they might be.
