Hi there everybody I decided to start a new thread since the last one went to 5 pages. I like to keep things fresh. I got the drinks ready, the comfy chairs are out, the germies promise to behave (I hope). I did not bake anything cause I am not good at following recipes and you never know what might come out of my bread machine. Always tasty but different. Raided mom’s green house for more tomatoes and brought home some flowers I am thinking about adding the tomatoes to my next bread like I said you never know….

Good morning Lynn we are addictive aren’t we? but what an addiction, Good friends Good coffee Good conversations.
Yetta you found us yet? good job on the cleaning out of the D-IL’s closet and not bringing too much home. If I only had 60 T-shirts I would be trying to rill up the space some of my T-shirts are over 20 years old and still good or have great memories
Lil mouse you still here? Meemaw hanging out with the grandkids or canning?

@Deanne – Jumping in on your friendly coffee group to ask, with what kind of camera did you take those pictures? Stunning. When I try to get close-ups, my pics get weird. Maybe it isn’t the camera, but instead the camera woman?

Hi Pollyanna I just bought a new Nikon Quick pix 4300s a couple weeks ago. It is a pretty easy to use, point and shoot camera. Use the macro feature. A good feature for me is the easy to see touch screen on the back. Though in the beginning I had a lot of shots of my feet. Don’t be afraid to take photos and as one of my photo instructors said “Toss your bad photos and only show your good ones. It builds confidence”. The nice thing about digital is you can toss those bad ones early, and retake the shot. Take a look at the lens of your camera and see if it is clean. One good fingerprint or smudge can change your photo dramatically. check to make sure your using the Macro option. And what the Heck sometimes you just need a new camera. Oddly my last camera was the same but the number was 100, and it did take a bit of abuse from me dropping it.(ok alot) what I liked was the rechargable battery and that was part of my decision on which to buy. not the fancy features.
welcome and be sure to check in and chat as you can see we have a lot of fun conversations and always love more persons and points of view.

Quick check-in. Load one dropped off. Time for lunch, another pack-up and trip for load two. I’m on a roll.

I see everyone is getting excited about Renfaire – wish I could have done it but will plan for next year.

Found a good pet store where I’m moving to and bought Maya a nice bone to chew on while I was unpacking. She seemed to settle right down. So that was good.

Bones are good. makes a dog feel right at home. I did not sign up for the Renfaire, I had thought about in January before I was working and remodeling the garage. Maybe next year. when I am more together. Yeah Right. I was spending my quiet work times reworking some of my listings, but that was before I went on the book buying binge, and brought the route 66 book into work. I am so easily distracted ohhh wait Lunch??? I got a piece of bread and some cheese see ya gonna eat my lunch

Thanks for the info Deanne. I “googled” the brand you mentioned and I can get one for $ 130.00. Does that sound like a good buy?

Thanks for the welcome!! I’ll definitely stop in again.

yep that is what I paid and the nice thing is the battery is rechargable so you don’t have to spend a lot on replacing batteries

Wow, I feel like I accomplished something today but I still have such a long way to go. It takes a long time to pack about 500 ornaments. I’m only about 1/4 of the way there. I took them to the new place and then unpacked them and put them in the cupboard. Then I can bring back the packing material and bags I carried them over in. It’s more work in the beginning but will be less at the other end (I hope).

I’m beat, I’m going to have an early dinner, a bit more packing and then an early night. See you all in the morning.

It will be so great and when you finish you can come down and help me move my stuff from the spare bedroom to the garage.
I did not work anywhere near as hard as you and I am beat too.
Pollyanna good catch on the camera cause I was calling it quick pix and it was a cool pix at least I got the numbers right even if I put the s in the wrong place.
haven’t seen Yetta yet but I know she responded to the old thread and will be looking for the new soon.
well I will be watching the last two shows of NCIS season 9 tonight, so that I can be ready to start Season 10 tomorrow evening.

OWww NCIS I missed it. Watching Dancing with the Stars. Some good ones all the previous winners. Taping Castle needed to work. Took pictures all day. 250 photos of 10 items. Ohhhhh poor Yetta she does get carried away. Did get some nice ones though.LOL>> Got stuff out for tomorrows photos. Antique keys and religious medals are tomorrows project. Don’t know much about either of them and that makes it harder. Oh well. Im tuckered to so I am calling it a day and see you in the morning. Yetta

Yetta, I think you’ll be surprised by what is available on line about religious medals. I inherited a whole box full from a distant relative. I found if I just put the latin words that were on the medal in the search engine lots of info came up. I still have about 50 to list but that will be a winter project. I sold a lot of rosaries and if the rosary beads were broken I sold the crucifix’s off them as pendants.

Good morning all. I thought I’d sleep in this morning but oh no, I was awake at my usual 6:15 am. I could start packing but there is a young woman sleeping upstairs that works long hours and I don’t think she’d appreciate being awakened this early. So I’ll have to wait a bit. I might go finish packing some books, that should be fairly quiet.

But first I’m just enjoy my coffee and watch the sun come up. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Yetta NCIS is Tonight. I like to watch TV on dvd’s. and I just finished season 9 last night.

Morning Coffees great I got an early start. Got lots of photos ready to go. Lynne thanks for the idea about the medals. I photod old keys as well. Moved on to other items in the junke drawer. Gads I have sooo much stuff. Sold 3 items yesterday on the bay all smalls. It adds up. LOL Deanne we watch NCIS all the time. Mostly reruns. At dinner we watch our tapped shows. Hubby goes to bed early so he tapes all the shows and we watch and eat. Does anyone eat at the table anymore. I did till I met him. My mother would not think of letting us eat at the TV. All my kids eat on trays infront of the TV. LOL Love to stay and chat but got to focus on these darn photos. Back in a flash Yetta

nope hardly anyone eat’s at the table. for a while I used the dining table to hold puzzles now it’s shipping stuff. of course you cannot sit in any chairs except the one in front of the window and TV. I am trying to get the patterns off the 6 ft long table in front of one of my windows so that I can bring in my potted geraniums and delphinium before they freeze. The thirties are ok but when you hit the lower 20’s and teens well bye bye green plants. And some times they come back but it takes forever. though last winter my geraniums did start blooming in January. of course getting the patterns off the table means moving them to the daybed.
got to get my garage/ office finished so that I can fill it up. geeze. Thinking this morning when I woke up that it would be time to put plastic on the outside of the garage doors. That way I could open them an get more light without the cold wind and dust/dirt or in the case of now, smoke.

I need to make a comment on the social behavior being discussed here:

People who watch NCIS and DWTS, while eating in front of the TV, are COOL people in my book!! I tape my shows to watch them when it’s convenient, but also to avoid commercials.

I gave up cable earlier this year and really haven’t missed it too much because I love to read. But so many shows are available on line so I’ve been able to continue watching my American Pickers, Canadian Pickers and a few others. Now the place I’m moving to, cable is provided. I got rid of my old tv so I thought I’m not buying a new one. But my girlfriend decided that the winter might be long and cold so wants to give me a flat screen for Xmas. I might be a fool but I’m not stupid – of course I said YES! So I’ll be able to watch the shows again this winter. I’ve been wanting Face Off online. Anyone else watch this?

I usually have dinner eaten by the time NCIS is on the regular TV and It is the only current show I will sit down and watch. However what I do eat is a bit of Dk Chocolate. my treat. AND it’s healthy. If you don’t eat the whole 1 lbs bar in one sitting. I tell my family that 8:00 Tuesday night is off limits do not call If you are offering to make dinner it must be done and eaten before 8:00.
I can’t justify the cost of cable for watching only one show that I get on regular antenna. Though I do love American pickers. I would watch it on my computer but it is so disjointed 2 minutes of show 3 minutes of loading 1 minute of show 5 minutes of loading. While I was on jury duty I saw Cash and Cari I liked that too.
so evenings I usually settle down with my dvd’s and am happy I saw an interview of Penny Marshal on the Today show and thought Lavern and Shirley would be fun to have but I cannot find it so they may have not released on dvd. Maybe Happy Days. maybe the Cosby show. I have the currently available Barney Miller a Bit of Three’s company. most of Emergency all of West Wing, NCIS and JAG, and the only one of WKRP that was released.
I stay entertained.
welcome Pollyanna you are so one of us!!!

Right on Hi Polyana. Hot do you get internet if not thru cable? We get what is called a bundle. Internet,Phone and Cable. Just basic cable. We I should say (I) dont watch all that much TV but hubby does. O we watched the best movie the other night. Best Exotic Marigold Hotel with Judi Dench,Maggie Smith, others. I enjoyed it alot. I actually got a lot done today but not as much as huck did you see what all she has been putting up from the garden. All I can say is WOW. But I have around 18 items about ready to go on. These I really had to research and dig around to figure out what to say and price them at. Gads. My daughter had a Lia Sophia party tonight.. Fun looking at all the new jewelry stuff. I don’t wear the darn stuff anymore. But cute stuff. Jewelry just keeps repeating itself. Like fashion and hairdo’s. Time to find that book and chill. Catch you in the morning. Yetta

Hi D,

Hi Rayven would have caught you earlier but was having trouble getting on the internet, then It was time for ncis. you got any interesting toys for the baby like maybe a bolt of organza??
I saw a sight coming home from work tonight. Had just gotten onto Cascade St/ hwy 20 and being in town was not suprised when the two vehicles in front of me stopped for some pedestrians crossing . since it happens all the time and since I was a bit tired I was not paying a lot attention until the second deer came out from in front of the first vehicle and then the third and then a fourth. totally missed the forked horn buck. which I saw later when I passed them. now deer in town is not a big deal what was totaly suprising was that they were actually using the crosswalk. better than a lot of people in town do. and dang no camera

And well-brought up deer as well. That’s when you wished you had a video camera.

Good morning everyone. Another day in paradise. Lots to do, that seems to be the norm these days. I’m packing, Yetta is taking pictures and listing and Deanne is sorting patterns and finishing up her garage when she’s not working. I hope everyone’s day proceeds well and has lots of sales. Time to get my coffee and get to work.

Just think about Renfaire starting in a week and that should help. Then think of all the sales your going to have and that should give you that extra push. But sometimes you just have to sit back and relax for a day and then get back at it the next. You’ve really been working hard for the past couple weeks.

how bout this kick back and enjoy a cup of coffee and a bit of chat then while you are chatting go ahead and post some photos. after your coffee and chat you can do the listing. just one will do. but you might try listing another set of photos just to get ahead. you know. and well what the heck why not finish that listing and then another and ….. before you know it the day is gone and listing done
