Checking in to say

Carolyn, we’ll be making bracelets 2nd Tuesday in June.
Sounds like they are looking forward to it.
I’ll sure let you know. Thanks for asking :)

I’m ready with a phrase when I know you are ready to exercise.

Much as I love both Bob and Jan, I kind of hope I don’t “meet up with either of them” in the very near future.

They are in my heart, and I think of them fondly and often.

Time has come.
In honor of summer not far away and pools opening across the nation
I offer from a few weeks ago when Rick (Reksplace36) posted this one liner.
PHRASE:
Today a man knocked on my door and asked for a small donation towards the local swimming pool, so I gave him a glass of water.

A12, C2, D7, E4, F2, G3, H2, I5, K3, L6, M6, N7, O14, P, R4, S7, T5, V, W3, Y2

My personal challenge will be only words that are somehow summer related.
Examples: vacation, swimming, lakeside, and fishing

Notice there is no U or B in the letter mix so no sunshine or baseball.

I use a spiral notebook to do my lists. Incredible as it sounds, I may run out of pages before meeting my goal!

I can just envision myself making an emergency middle-of-the-night run to a store to buy another notebook!!!!

Coming along good, though.

You would think my personal challenge of summer words would be easy.
However sunglasses and babysitting both have letters not available in the mix.
The U and B seem to go with summer.
My list is coming along, too.
Hope no need for a midnight notebook run…lol

It is sunny and warm today! Yippee! The roofers called and they will be here Monday. We took the rain gutters down this morning as they were nailed through the drip edge and new drip edge will be installed. I am thinking I would like to paint them a dark chocolate brown that would provide a nice contrast to the peachy/light brown brick. But thinking about it and actually getting it done are two different things entirely.

That is quite the challenge Carolyn but know it will not be hard for you.

God to see you Rick! Nice phrase!

Thanks for hosting Joyce!

So sorry about my screw up. Emily deserves to recognized twice as a winner :D

Sorry I ducked out so quick. I couldn’t believe that I was that tired that I slept right after the game through part of the morning. I manage to make a trip to pick up supplies and I come home to a number of messages. I guess next week is full of cleanings and weeding.
We went from 80 degrees down to the 40’s. Then the rain and the chilliness of the air.
I ended up taking a nap and it ended up a long sleep.
Between the change in air temperature, work and such has made me tired. I still would like to work on my garden and I need to get items listed on eBay.

Well, I managed to turn in a word list.

OH! The bad boys. When I woke up in the morning, the kitchen was blown up. I had to put everything away so that I could walk through the kitchen. Then, when I returned back from picking up supplies, I had a hard time opening the door to the kitchen. YES, the boys made another mess.

Good to see you, Bette. I have marked you as received
I thought the swimming pool theme should be carried through the completed list players.
Once again you are the first list RECEIVED.

It is storming here now.
Rain, rain and way too much rain is in my part of the world.
We went out when the sun shown for about 2 hours. Ran a few errands and grabbed a bite to eat.
Home and taking it easy now. Maybe a movie.
See you kids later.

My problem this week is not finding words; it’s how long it takes to enter them on the computer. Really, I’m not complaining, but its taking a long time because I think I have probably 800 words – with, I am sure – lots of duplicates!

I didn’t have to make a midnight run to Walgreen’s to get another notebook, though – still a few blank pages in this one. And, no, I am not setting myself the additional
challenge of filling every one of those pages with WFC words!

Got to use one of my favorite words – defenestration. I just love that word, because you simply don’t come across it very often.

I’m not even thinking WFC….just getting ready to run errand, and this word pops into my mind: lachrymose!

I know what it means, but I have never used it, and can’t even recall when I last read it.

When I come back, my priority will be to finish this list and send it in.

So far, I have never sent in an addendum later, and would like to keep that record intact.

Carolyn, WFC definitely is a brain exercise for you.
I love your unannounced personal challenge of no addendum.

Have a great day, everyone.

Unless I have a heck of a lot of duplicates, I’m going to cut my list back. I’ve got over 1,000 words and my brain is in overdrive.

Probably start by removing words that end in ED. Maybe cut some of the more common words out – For sure, no more than 800, or even just a tad over 700 to meet my goal. No matter what, defenestration STAYS!!!!!

(I don’t feel willing to go for 800 words, all 8 letters long………

My fingers are getting worn down to the nub.

Hello, just not for everyone.

Just read that 4,153,237 people got married last year, not to cause any trouble but shouldn’t that be an even number?

PHRASE this week:
Today a man knocked on my door and asked for a small donation towards the local swimming pool, so I gave him a glass of water

A12, C2, D7, E4, F2, G3, H2, I5, K3, L6, M6, N7, O14, P, R4, S7, T5, V, W3, Y2

Actually fellow WFC players, my challenge wasn’t what I though it would be!

My challenge turned out to be cutting my list down from over 1100 words to a more manageable number. My goal was 700 words 7 or more letters long.

Still came in over 700 though. Technically, then, I actually didn’t meet my challenge, because there were too many words I was unwilling to give up!

It was sort of like playing the card game Hearts, which I never quite could figure out! Always seemed like the objective of that game was to see how many points/cards you could lose………I just couldn’t bring myself to discard some of those cards…………

Rick’s phrase contains the possibility for an overwhelming number of words, and potential challenges; like all words starting with the letter P, or W, or ……. or most any of the letters – especially if you count 3 and 4 letter words,,,,,

Just marked Carolyn RECEIVED
Won’t be looking at the lists until I consider mine complete but Carolyn is right about this phrase offering oh so many possible personal challenges.
For example…decide ALL your WFC posts can only post IF they use only the letters in this week’s phrase
Truth, bet it wouldn’t limit your posting hardly at all ……lots and lots of letters.

Meanwhile, friends, players and anyone
