Add more structured information to item detail pages (item title, pricing, etc) for better search clickability on Google.
Add Lexity Live to stats page.
Allow direct responses to bmails.

I went to the site and see a Bonanza section but can’t really do anything with it.

I’m interested in it because Lexity shows you real live stats as they happen. I was hoping for a blog about it but since I didn’t see one I thought I’d ask here.

I found this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzpbsyshY7c&feature=player_embedded

I just want to know if this is for us sellers? Paid sellers or for Bonz?

I signed up but got an ‘opps’ error when trying to make it work. Requires javascript which Bonz doesn’t allow.

I tried it yesterday and thought maybe it was for paid members only.

Judging from their web site, it is something you pay for, and appears to me to be the same old, same old, but with a petticoat. I could be wrong, but I departed the site without further investigation.

What is Lexity’s pricing?
Last Updated: Jun 07, 2012 05:40PM PDT
When you set up your store with Lexity, you’ll be asked to choose which themes you’d like to use to advertise. (Learn more about Lexity’s thematic advertising.) Each theme you select will have its own ad budget and own billing cycle, which begins when the ad campaigns for that theme are activated. For a particular theme:

Total = ad budget + our 15% service fee

No fees for 3 months
We waive our service fee for the first 3 months!

What’s Lexity’s 15% service fee?
Lexity’s service fee is equivalent to 15% of the ad budget you ask us to manage for you. For example, if you ask Lexity to manage a monthly ad budget of $1000, our service fee is $150 for managing that budget, for a total of $1150/month.

We never take money from your ad budget for ourselves—your ad budget is only used to pay ad networks to advertise your store. Anything unused at the end of a billing period will roll over to the next. It is pre-allocated to advertising channels at the beginning of each monthly cycle, and is therefore non-refundable, as we do not keep it.

What’s the minimum/maximum you can spend?
The minimum ad budget you can set is $20/month for our Shopping Feed marketing option. For our Shopping Feed + Search Marketing option our minimum is $500/month. We’ve found that spending less than that won’t get you results that are measurable. The maximum monthly ad budget you can set is $10,000/month. That’s right — we won’t even work with companies that have more than $10k to spend a month – we want to focus squarely on making small businesses like you successful.

We’re confident you won’t find a better solution. If, after 3 months of using Lexity, you try out something else and it makes you more sales, man or machine, we’ll refund our 15% service fee (which means we’re working for free). Here are the details of our Best Results Guarantee: http://support.lexity.com/customer/portal/articles/119181-best-results-guarantee

Maybe it’s something Bonanza is doing for the site a form of advertising?

15%, what?? If I’m going to have to pay 15% to get advertisement I might as well go back to ebay or am I understanding this wrong?

tooo funny JG. and if you don’t like the way the Boyz run things or ad then go do it yourself and pay for it with Lexity. But it doesn’t seem to work either. Geez, what’s a seller to do??

I’m certainly hoping this is something Bonz is doing on its own end. I’m not the least bit interested in spending that kind of money on advertising.

Well, let’s say someone tries out the $500 per month deal. After all, as Lexity says, spending less than that won’t get you “measurable” results, heh, heh.

For the sake of argument, we’ll also say that the average earnings from a sale are $25.00, of which your gross profit is $15.00, before expenses. Shipping and PayPal fees eat up another $8.00. So now, you’ve got $7.00 in your pocket. So, how many sales at an average profit of $7.00 each will you need to pay for your Lexity deal, at the recommended minimum of $500.00 per month? Answer – about 71. That is, you’d need about $1,800 in sales per month to pay for the advertising. Everything after that is “gravy.”

For most people, throwing 5 bills on the table every month is a bit of a stretch, doncha think?

But, wait wait! There’s MORE. With ME, there is ALWAYS more. There may YET be a way to make this work. Here are 2 possible scenarios that might make the whole thing workable:

  1. Bonz sets up a membership level which includes, say, $10 per month to go to advertising. If 50 people jump on it, there’s your $500.00 per month. Those 50 have their items (or some of their items) pipelined onto a separate web page with listings pointing back to each seller’s booth. Lexity places the ads for that site. Just for fun, we’ll say that Bonz pays the 15% fee for this work. Now, those who paid the memberships have the benefit (unknown, as yet) of the advertising they have so longed for.
  2. Some enterprising sellers get together and start a new web site, at a cost of about $100.00 per year. And they do basically the same thing as I described above, chipping in pro rata to the $500.00 plus 15% fee.

Offered for your consideration. . .
