New 30" x 42" Hindu Ganesh Sequined Wall Hanging Tapestry Unmounted Unframed

A beautiful work of art, this is a magnificent wall hanging depicting Ganesh Ganesha. These wall hangings are made in Rajasthan, India by certain tribes who make these amazing articles to keep their traditions going.

This beautiful hand blocked sequined tapestry is unmounted and unframed. It is approximately 42" high x 30" wide. The sequins are sewn on by hand. I failed to get a nice picture of the back side. I've included a previous one to show you that there are threads on the back of the tapestry.. do NOT cut the threads, they are connected!

Here's a little info about Ganesh:

Ganesh (also called Ganesha) — the elephant-deity riding a mouse  has become one of the commonest mnemonics for anything associated with Hinduism. This not only suggests the importance of Ganesha, but also shows how popular and pervasive this deity is in the minds of the masses.

Ganesh is god of knowledge and the remover of obstacles is also the older son of Lord Shiva. Lord Ganesha is also called Vinayak (knowledgeable) or Vighneshwer (god to remove obstacles). He is worshiped, or at least remembered, in the beginning of any auspicious performance for blessings and auspiciousness. He has four hands, elephant's head and a big belly. His vehicle is a tiny mouse. In his hands he carries a rope (to carry devotees to the truth), an axe (to cut devotees' attachments), and a sweet dessert ball -laddoo- (to reward devotees for spiritual activity). His fourth hand's palm is always extended to bless people. A unique combination of his elephant-like head and a quick moving tiny mouse vehicle represents tremendous wisdom, intelligence, and presence of mind.
