From a Bucilla Serenade Yarn ad:
"There's high fashion metallic sparkle and glitter in this exquisite yarn of fine pure wool and washable non-tarnish Lurex. Serenade is light in weight, soft and luxurious. Rich black combined with gold, silver, royal blue, ruby red, emerald green and glamorous multi-color metallic."
Bucilla Serenade was likely a sport weight yarn, based on the needle size.
