Vintage crochet pattern for a 1949 for a Halter Top or Dickie for under a suit from Nomotta, called "Flare."  Includes a short section on working with ribbon.

SIZE: Not mentioned in this particular pattern. The below sizes are from the pattern book. 
Sizes: 12, 14, 16, 18
Bust: 30, 32, 34, 36 inches
Waist: 25, 26 ½, 28, 30 inches

Materials required:
Yarn - Nomotta Ruban d'Art (100 yard spools), 3 spools
Straight Knitting Needles, US No.8 (standard) or 4 mm - 14 inches long
Steel crochet hook, US No. 5 (standard) or 1.90 mm
4 buttons
1 yard, 1 ½ inch matching grosgrain ribbon

Gauge: 
5 stitches and 5 rows = 1 inch when blocked
