Perfoliate Pennycress

Latin Name: Thlaspi perfoliatum

The perfoliate pennycress is a common herbaceous plant of the order Crucifixes, common in Europe and North America. It lives in fields, vineyards, orchards, gardens, along roadsides. The dry kernel contains 32-34% oil, which can be used as biofuel by cold pressing. The pressing residue contains a lot of nutrients (30-35% protein) and is suitable for feeding cattle and pigs.
