Hummel #46/0 “Madonna w/o Halo" TMK 3

Interested?? I am open to all offers, I read and reply to each one, and am generally easy to work with!

This is the shorter version of the Virgin Mary made without a halo. It is 9” tall and the trademark (3 Stylized Bee) places the manufacture of this piece Circa 1959 – 1967. This figurine is in perfect shape. It has no crazing, repairs, blemishes, or mars. It is in MINT condition, a fine piece to add to any collection.

Being a Nun, Sister Maria was very religious.  Many of her drawings (and therefore Hummel figurines) reflect her faith. This Madonna was first crafted by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1935 and was among the first 46 pieces released in 1935 for the Leipzig Fair. Its coloring (light blue, beige, blond hair) tones make it a wonderful and detailed porcelain figurine made by the fabulous craftsmen at the Goebel factory so very long ago! There is such beautiful detail - so typical of the quality of Goebel's porcelain figurines.

What a wonderful, vintage gift or keepsake it would make!
