This is a beautiful vintage inspired round locket necklace in a silvertone metal. The chain necklace is approximately 18 inches in length and closes with a lobster claw clasp that hooks to a heart. The locket measures 2 inches tall. On the front of the open filigree locket is the image of a Scottish Terrier or a West Highland Terrier. The locket is attached to the chain by a rose flower medallion. Above the medallion, the chain is embellished with a floating silver Swallow. The Swallow symbolizes many things for different people. It represents, love and affection for friends and family. For others it is a symbol for returning home and for freedom.
This would make a wonderful necklace for any dog lover, especially if the Terrier is your favorite breed. You can carry a picture of your pet and show him or her off when someone compliments you on the necklace. There is no glass or plastic to place over the photo, it could be used to carry some hair or other little remembrance memento as well. It would also be a nice thank you gift for your favorite breeder or Veterinarian.
