Item description for Vintage Trio Ducks In A Row Sterling Silver Marcasite Brooch Pin Geese

This is an adorable brooch or pin that features three ducks or geese in a row walking, one in front of the other. It is marked “Sterling” on the back, but it has not been tested as to sterling content. The bodies are adorned with glittering tiny marcasite stones. It measures approximately 2 inches long and 1 inch tall. It weighs .25 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 7.08 grams. The phrase “Have your ducks in a row” has the meaning of being well-organized or well prepared.

This brooch is in great vintage condition as you can see by the many enlarged photographs. I have not polished this as many people prefer the older patina that forms with age. I will leave any polishing up to you if you so desire. There are several tiny imperfections in the silver, but you don't see them without the magnification, they appear to be original to the creation. The brooch has a lovely shine to it.
