This listing is for a matching Windsor tea cup and saucer set, made in England. The pattern is numbered x2248/86.  The design is a beautiful yellow rose with  pink edging on the blooms, green and grey leaves.  There is gold trim on the scalloped / ruffled edges of both cup and saucer, as well as on the shaped cup handle and a wide gold band on the base of the cup.

Both pieces are marked on the bottom  "BONE CHINA WINDSOR MADE IN ENGLAND".   Windsor Pottery was part of the Co-operative Wholesale Society in Longton, England, which started in 1911.  This backstamp was used starting in the 1950s.

Both cup and saucer have no chips, cracks, crazing, or scratches.  There are some manufacturing dimples and roughness to both pieces.  In photo 6, you can see a tiny dark spot on the gold trim at the base of the cup.  Just to the left of that, there is a scrape on the gold trim, with a bit of white showing.  On the base of the cup, you can see a bit of what looks like sticker or tape residue.  I didn't want to take a chance on scratching something trying to remove it.  The saucer measures 5- 3/4 inches in diameter and the cup measures 3 - 1/4 inches in diameter at the top; together they stand just under 3 inches tall.

Check out my other vintage teacup and saucer sets.  I will be listing several sets, along with other dishes and collectible items that my mum collected over the years.  I just don't have room for them all.  :(
