1. This is a lovely Art Deco Waltham wristwatch that is no longer working and has some damage on the back (see close up photos). It has an Art Nouveau or Art Deco influence to it. It is embellished with a tiny diamond at either end of the case (I don't know if the stones are real or not). It measures approximately 1 ¼ inches long by ¾ of an inch wide. It is most likely gold filled, but I don't know for sure. I am selling it for restoration, parts or repair and it is AS IS. The back of the watch has a dent and surface scratches (see picture). I am not a watch expert so I did not try to remove the back as I was afraid of doing damage to the insides. The face also has some stains, since I did not remove the back, I don't know if it can be cleaned or not. The hands do move when you use the winder on the side, but it doesn't actually wind or keep time.

2. The gold tone watch band is marked “Forstner 1/20 – 12K – Gold Filled U.S.A. Pat. 2,097,055. The band is in good condition with some finish wear as you can see by the photos. It is an unusual style, the band folds and has an adjustable slide design. The band would look great on any vintage watch you would want to use it on.

3. I don't know if this case is original to the watch, but I would guess it is since they have been together for years. The domed oval presentation box is marked “Waltham First American Watch” on the top inside lid in blue. The words are surrounded by a blue wreath filled with white stars. The deep blue velveteen box is in good condition. There is a small white spot on the bottom where the blue leather, plastic or cardboard has a bit of wear. There is some color variation on the velvet where the blue is a little darker, which you normally see on velvet or velveteen, but there is no velvet loss. The inside looks great as well. It measures approximately 5 ½ inches long x 3 ½ inches wide and 1 ¾ inches tall. There is a band of gold trim around the base of the box, there is some tarnishing on the gold band, especially on the front.

The Waltham Watch Company based in Waltham, Massachusetts, produced watches between 1850 and 1957. If this could be fixed, it would be a lovely Art Deco watch and would be a great addition to your collection, when being worn you would never see the dent on the back. It would also make a great display sitting on a vanity table in any Shabby Chic or vintage décor room.
