This is a lovely vintage 3 piece youth's or child's flatware set of Danish Sterling Silver by W&S Sorensen in the Patricia pattern, encased in its original box with blue velvet and white satin inlay. This is a very simple and beautiful pattern. These have never been used and were never monogrammed. I marked them as used in the listing because they are vintage and have been around for quite some time. This is a rare and unique find and I have been unable to find another set like it anywhere on the Internet.

I'm not sure what year this set is from, there is no date on the presentation storage box. I did find a Danish website that talked about this pattern being designed by Knud Moller in the early 1950s and that the pattern won a Gold Medal Award at the California State Fair and Exposition in Sacramento in 1952. I don't know when this specific set was made, but it was received as a gift in the early 1970s.

The enclosed insert, reads on the front “PATRICIA” Sterling Flatware - Gold Medal – California State Fair and Exposition, Sacramento, Design: Knud Moller. On the inside of the insert it reads W. & S. Sorensen Sterling, 8700 Horsens, Denmark. There is also a blue banner on the inside white satin fabric lid that reads in script “Patricia” Danish Sterling Silver. Each piece of flatware is hallmarked on the back with W & S. Sorensen Sterling Denmark. They are approximately 4 ½ inches to 5 inches long. The three pieces weigh 1.8 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 51.03 grams. Please note that this is a postage scale, not a jewelry scale so it may not be as accurate.

The set is in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. I have not polished the set and there is a slight bit of patina beginning, but I will leave the polishing up to you. There are a few marks on the white leather, which I believe you can see in the photographs. They would most likely come off with leather polish, but I can't guarantee that.
