4 books Masterplots of American Literature

This listing has 4 different books in the Masterplots of American Literature series. I think there are probably a couple more books in this series because volume IV ends with Norris. All are small paperbacks. They were published by Perennial Library in 1970. Condition: Good--there are a few pages in three books that have some markings (around 3 to 5 pages per book); one book has a couple of curly cues on the inside of the back cover; pages are slightly tanned. There are around 100 to 135 pages per book.

These books belonged to my late husband. He was a retired English professor.

Volume I: Alcott to Emerson (Alcott, Aldrich, Bellamy, Bierce, Bryant, Cable, Chesnutt, Cooper, Crane, Dana, Dickinson, Eggleston, and Emerson)

Volume II: Frederic to Irving (Frederic, Garland, Hale, Harris, Harte, Hawthorne, Hearn, Holmes, Howells, and Irving)

Volume III: James and Jewett (Henry James and Sarah Orne Jewett)

Volume IV: Longfellow to Norris (Longfellow, Lowell, Melville, and Norris)
