This is a great vintage return postage keychain made by the Richfield Oil Company. The front has the words “Golden Guarantee" around the rim” and “Richfield Boron” on a legend in the center. On the reverse around the top rim are wreaths and the words “Protected Customer” The initials “S.A.B.” are stamped and there is a message stating “Drop in any mailbox postage guaranteed" the stamped number 191609. Around the bottom rim is the return adress “Richefield – 555 S – Flower St – Los Angeles”. The Richfield Oil Building on South flower Street was constructed between 1928 and 1929 and served as the headquarters for Richfield Oil. The building was demolished in 1968. I believe this is from the 1950s. The token measures approximately 1 1/8 inches in diameter. There is a small loop at the top to attach the medal to the key chain.

It is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. It has normal wear for the age and the fact it was used. The circular key ring is missing from the chain. It needs a good polishing to bring out the brass, but I know many people prefer the older darker patina that only comes with age. I will leave any polishing up to you.

This would make a great addition to your collection of gasoline stations and oil companies memorabilia and advertising souvenirs.
