Canning Jars Hazel Atlas H over A Square and 50 similar items
More details about this itemCanning Jars Hazel Atlas H over A Square Quart and Half-Gallon Mason Milk-glass lined zinc lid, called "porcelain lined." The glass fruit jars are embossed with the words Atlas Mason and the H over A design Hazel-Atlas mark. These canning jars are old, not reproductions, from the 1940's or 1950's. The quart fruit jar bottom is marked with the HA mark, letter B and number 2. The half-gallon is marked with the Hazel Atlas mark and M 10 18. I think the H over A in a circle may be a later mark (in the 1950's) than the mark without the circle, but have not been able to find out any information on it. The half-gallon jar with the circle mark has less abrasion on its bottom than the quart, so it may be newer. The Hazel-Atlas company was in business from 1902 to 1964. Their headquarters was in Wheeling, West Virginia. These jars and lids have been cleaned, but I did not remove the patina on the zinc lids. Size: Quart: about 7 inches tall; 3.5 inches diameter; 32 ounces. Half-gallon: about 9.25 inches tall; 4.5 inches diameter; 64 ounces. Condition: Excellent. No chips or cracks. I have had these jars for many years, part of my old canning jar collection. The lids show their years of wear and use. Shipping will be calculated for your location.
