Category: Magic the Gathering, RECENTLY ADDED ITEMS For sale is a (66) card constructed "Mill / Discard" mono blue deck for the game Magic The Gathering, built by yours truly. It features a mixture of played and brand new / never-been-played cards (sorry, I couldn't tell you which is which, though assume older cards have almost certainly been played). If you've only focused on using creatures to win games by knocking down an opponent's life total, then you might want to shake things up with a Mill deck. A Mill deck's goal is not to reduce the opponent's life to zero but instead force him or her to put all of their library into the graveyard. When they hit zero cards, regardless of their life total, they lose the game! This deck is designed to do just that: force your opponent to get rid of as many cards as possible. This is primarily done through sorceries though many creature cards contribute to the task. The big cards to pull this off, though, are Mind Sculpt and Time Scour, which make your opponent give up seven and five cards respectively into their graveyard. To take full advantage of this I've included Archaeomancer cards, a creature that allows you to bring a sorcery back from the graveyard after using it. But I've also added Wizard Mentor, which has the ability to return it and another creature you control to your hand. Why is this useful? Because you can play Mind Sculpt / Time Scour, then Archeomancer, get it back, play it again, then use Wizard Mentor to return Archaeomancer to your hand, play it AGAIN, get the sorcery back AGAIN, and repeat the whole process. If you can avoid losing Wizard Mentor and manage to get at least one Archaemancer and one mill spell, you in theory will be able mill with out fear of run out of spells. Which shouldn't be a problem anyway with twenty-six sorceries in the deck! And while you're whittling down your opponent's deck, get out a Jace's Phantasm for only one cost and see it go from a Flying 1/1 to a Flying 5/5 as long as your opponent has ten cards or more in their graveyard. With these spells that should not be a problem at all! This deck comes with the following cards [Please note that (C) stands for Common, (U) for Uncommon, (R) for Rare, and (MR) for Mythic Rare]: (16) SORCERIES: *(4) Dreadwaters (C) *(4) Mind Sculpt (C) *(4) Time Scour (C) *(4) Fascination (U) (3) ENCHANTMENTS: *(3) Evanescent Intellect (C) (25) CREATURES: *(1) Benthic Giant (C) *(2) Thassa's Devourer (C) *(4) Archaeomancer (C) *(1) Vedalken Entrancer (C) *(1) Enigma Eidolon (C) *(3) Reckless Scholar (C) *(1) Wizard Mentor (C) *(1) Sage's Row Denizen (C) *(1) Mist Intruder (C) *(4) Crosstown Courier (C) *(1) Salvage Drone (C) *(2) Minister of Inquiries (U) (22) LANDS: *(22) Basic Islands Card conditions range from fair to 'like new', but most are in great shape. NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING: I do combine on shipping, though I've had trouble with Bonanza's 'combined shipping' system. If you buy more than one item and it charges you twice for shipping, I will refund any unused portion. If you would like to know shipping cost ahead of time, please let me know the items and your zip code and I can provide that. I do NOT ship internationally. I apologize for this, but due to my work schedule and the post office's hours it's difficult for me to get there to mail international packages. I have made exceptions based on the amount spent and if I have days off, so you are welcome to ask! I just can't promise anything, unfortunately.
