Nancy Brandon & Nancy Brandon's Mystery

Well-Known Series Book Writer ~ Lilian Garis ~

A Note of Interest ~ On the dust jacket of Nancy Brandon's Mystery and on the front of the book, Lilian is misspelled with two "L"s instead of one.

These are the Whitman reprints but they normal sized series books than what they usually publish and have quality paper that is age toned.

There are 18 books that Lilian Garis wrote about 9 girls, 2 for each girl. Of the 18 books, these are #13 & #14.

The Nancy Brandon book has a 1939 Christmas inscription neatly written on the front free end page. Nancy Brandon's Mystery has 1939 Christmas inscription neatly written in pencil. There is also a book seller's price of $20.00 & DBJ in pencil under that.

The pages are supple and tanned with light foxing. These are higher quality books than some of the other Whitman copies of these books.

The boards of the book have creases along the spines of both books and are discolored. The spine of Nancy Brandon is sunned.

The dust jackets are in really great shape for their age. They have a little edge wear at the bottom and top of the spines and on the corners, a little foxing, with what looks like one small closed tear on Nancy Brandon.

I enjoyed reading both books and think the dust jackets are just lovely. A wonderful find for your collection.
