135 WWII Letters Cards Stamps V-Mail Telegrams ~ Allentown PA

This is a large collection (135 +) of WWII Letters from Norwood McLauchlin and his family who lived in Allentown, PA.  Norwood was assigned to the 882nd Signal Corp, Air Force. I have included a spreadsheet of the letters and comments on the contents of the letters.  As I read the letters, I begame engrossed in the struggle this young married man and his wife were having in being separated from each other.  War then was so differrent than now.  At least our boys can come home occasionally and see their families.  During WWII, they were gone for the duration.  We also think that our government provides for the soldiers, but in WWII, the boys were missing many of the basics including good food.  These letters give a rare opportunity to follow an ordinary American family from the beginning of the war to the end. 

I have also enclosed Norwood and Helen's wedding picture and the obituary for Norwood.  From my research, I do not think they ever had any children.

Returns

To request an RMA number to return your items, please email me through.  I will cheerfully accept returns for any reason and refund your payment less original shipping.

Please keep in mind that cushions are bulky and heavy, therefore shipping may be higher than you anticipate.  I do not make money on shipping charges.  I ALWAYS combine all shipments unless the packages are too large to combine.  I DO NOT CHARGE ANY HANDLING FEES.  I ONLY CHARGE YOU WHAT IT COSTS ME TO SHIP YOUR PACKAGE TO YOU.

In an effort to provide lower cost shipping, I have recently switched from UPS to USPS.  The Postal Service takes a little longer, but the costs are much lower.  Please allow from 2-9 business days for your delivery.

If you prefer your item to go out UPS, please email me and I will be glad to send it by that service, but there will be an additional charge for using UPS.
