Wow! This 14k Solid Yellow Gold Russian Chrome Diopside and Diamond Ring is so gorgeous! The Chrome Diopside is a 13.86mm Hexagon Cut gemstone. There are also 12 1.5mm genuine Diamonds to further enhance the Diopside. This ring is a size 7 and weighs in at a hefty 6.7 grams. It is stamped 14k and tests as such. I am estimating the total carat weight at between 13.5 and 14 carats based on  calculating the millimeter measurements. It is unusual to find a Chrome Diopside in this size. This is a vintage (from the late 80's) ring in very good condition. Chrome Diopside is a fairly soft gemstone at 5.5 to 6 on the Moh's scale (about the same as Opal) so I am guessing this was worn very little because the table of the stone is in such good shape.

FYI, The Diopside stone does "wiggle" around in the setting but it will not come out due to the type of V shape prongs used.
