Leipzig: J.J. Weaver. Multiple volumes, published between 1881 - 1892. Original red linen boards with illustrative gilt decorations on front board and spine. All Edges Gilt (A.E.G.) Elephant folio sized - measures 16-1/2" tall x 12" wide. Text entirely in German. CONDITION: These twelve volumes vary in condition. Overall, interior contents are very clean and presented in tight bindings: Vol 1 (Erster band) Published 1882. Inner spine solid; outer spine slightly chipped at bottom and top. 4” tear down top spine gutter. Staining (lightening red covers) down entire length of front cover edge ” wide, and same with back covers (extends in 2” on top back cover). Corners bumped and rubbed. Vol 2 (Zweiter band) No date of publishing. Inner spine cracked and contents loose after page 9; outer spine chipped top and bottom. 7” tear present on spine starting from top â“ including top 1” chip and fabric missing; Staining (lightening red covers) to top and bottom outer cover boards, and same with back covers. Corners bumped and rubbed. Vol 3 (Dritter band) Published 1881. Inner spine solid; outer spine slightly chipped at bottom and top. A ” chip (gouge) to spine between “Meisterwerke” and “Holzschneidekunst”. Staining (lightening red covers) down entire length of front cover edge  - 1” wide. Bottom corner cloth detaching from board due to moisture damage. Back cover heavily stained â“ extends in up to 5” from spine to center of board, also extends in average of 3” from cover edge to center of board. No mildew present, although back board slightly warped from moisture damage. Moisture staining not present on any interior pages â“ front or back. Corners bumped and rubbed. Vol 6 (Sechster band) Published 1884. Inner spine solid; outer spine slightly chipped at bottom. 6” tear present on spine starting 4” down from top â“ including top 4” chip and fabric missing; Staining (lightening red covers) to top and bottom outer cover boards, and same with back covers. Corners bumped and rubbed. Vol 9 (Neunter band) Published 1887. Inner spine solid; outer spine slightly chipped at top. 2” chip on bottom spine, with cloth removed. Another ” wide chip with missing cloth about 4” down from top of spine. Staining (lightening red covers) down entire length of front cover edge ” to 1” wide, and same with back covers (extends in 2 â“ 3” on back cover). Corners bumped and rubbed. Vol 10 (Zehnter band) Published 1888. Inner spine solid; outer spine slightly chipped top and bottom. Staining (lightening red covers) to top and bottom outer cover boards, and same with back covers. Corners heavily bumped and rubbed. Vol 11 (Elfter band) Published 1889. Inner spine solid; outer spine very slightly chipped top and bottom. 2” tear present on spine near “XI” lower pannel; 1” closed tear diagonally across “Meisterwerke” on spine. Staining (lightening red covers) to top and bottom outer cover boards, and same with back covers. Corners very slightly bumped and rubbed. Moisture staining present on back cover and extends in 2”. Front cover staining limited to ” â“ 1” of discoloration (lightening). Additional moisture staining present on FFEP and title page, but not on any illustrated pages. This staining starts at the front top corner, 1” or so wide â“ and extends down about 12” where it is no longer present â“ and runs along the top and extends in 7-1/2”. Vol 12 (Zwolster band) Published 1890. Inner spine solid; outer spine slightly chipped at bottom and top. Staining (lightening red covers) down entire length of front cover edge  - 1” wide, and same with back covers (extends in 1” on back covers). Corners bumped and rubbed. Vol 13 (Dreizehnter band) Published 1891. Inner spine solid; outer spine slightly chipped at bottom and top. Staining (lightening red covers) down entire length of front cover edge  - 1” wide, and same with back covers (extends in 2” on top back cover). Corners bumped and rubbed. Vol 14 (Vierzehnter band) Published 1892. Inner spine solid; outer spine slightly chipped at bottom and top. Staining (lightening red covers) down entire length of front cover edge  - 1” wide, and same with back covers (extends in 2” on top back cover). Corners bumped and rubbed. Vol 16 (Sechzehnter band) No date of publishing (presumed 1894). Inner spine solid; outer spine chipped top and bottom. Bottom outer gutter cloth torn 2” along gutter. Staining (lightening red covers) to top and bottom outer cover boards, and same with back covers. Corners heavily bumped and rubbed. Vol 18 (Achtzehnter band) No date of publishing (presumed 1896). Inner spine solid; outer spine slightly chipped top and bottom. Bottom outer gutter cloth torn 1” along gutter; 4” long tear down center/back spine, then tearing towards front gutter (shaped “L”). One chip on spine, around ” x ” size, just under “Holzschneidekunst” on decorative spine (cloth missing). Staining (lightening red covers) to top and bottom outer cover boards, and same with back covers. Corners heavily bumped and rubbed.
