This is a 1936-40 Alexander 9" Composition Swedish Doll with the Wendy Ann face mold. This fully jointed slim long leg body composition doll is marked Wendy Ann/ Mme. Alexander/ New York to the back. The stringing is tight, some age appropriate crazing to the body, painted side glance eyes, the arms hold a pose, some green lines are to the back of the legs, and this doll has a nice thick and clean mohair wig. All of these dolls including this one seem to have the area around the eyes and nose "bubble up". The composition there is stable but obvious. This is not the first I have seen on these dolls. This doll may have had a green straw hat with red and white pom poms. The original clothing is clean, tagged Swedish and in good condition.
