1961 Gillette Fatboy Safety Razor with Original Case and Blades
1961 G4 Gillette Fatboy Safety Razor with Plastic Case and Original Blades. This razor was made
to last. It is still in remarkable condition. I am, at least, the second owner of this tool. The
double edge metal razor has a twist action to open for double edge blades. Razor is in MINT
condition. It works properly and clicks nicely. Numbers all have paint. I dont see any faults
in this razor. The case is clean but has one fine crack in the back of the lid.
This great kit includes the razor, Original Gillette Blades and the Gillette Fat Boy Case.
The Razor shows no wear as is shown in the photos.
It is a great razor and shaves quite well. The plating is in MINT condition and shows no wear,
the butterfly doors open and close correctly. The adjustment dial works as it was designed to. I
have cleaned everything with antibacterial soap & water, with an old soft toothbrush. It was then
sanitized in Barbicide. The plastic case has a small circle magnifier in case top to magnify
the blade dial number on razor. The razor has a dial for 1 thru 9 at handle top for shave
preference. Simple and safe.
Gillette reached the pinnacle of their creative prowess when they designed this razor.
The "Butterfly Door" is the mother of blade replacement options. It is both safe and simple and
it adds that little touch of hi-tech that can get a man all steamy in the boxers. The balance of
this razor is very nice. This is a fantastic razor that was built to last. It provides a quality
shave. I would recommend this razor to anyone who wishes to sample a little piece of the past.
