This is a lot of two vintage Moose Organization lapel pins. A Moose member is a man belonging to the Loyal Order of Moose, or a woman belonging to the Women of the Moose. There are members throughout the United States, Canada, Great Britain and Bermuda. Every since 1888, these men and women have served local communities and fellow members of the fraternity known as the Moose.

Both of these pins are in very good condition (see pictures) and I will describe in detail below. There are no markings on the back of either of the pins and I don’t know what type of metal they are made of.

1. Million Moose Pin – this shows a young boy kneeling with his teddy bear in front of his bed saying prayers. If you look at the clock on the table it reads 9:00. The words below the boy are "God Bless Mooseheart 1973”. Mooseheart is the fraternal orphanage residential childcare facility located in Mooseheart, Illinois, it was dedicated in 1913. There is a prayer ceremony that occurs at 9:00 pm. That this pin represents. It is the time for all the little children to be in bed and the prayer ends with God Bless Mooseheart, Amen.

2. Moose Head Pin – this pin has a moose head in the center with the words Moosehaven on one side and Mooseheart on the other. In 1922 Moosehaven was opened in Orange Park, Florida. It is a 65 acre retirement community for senior members in need. What a great gift for someone who is a Moose member.
