Due to the hardness, this soap is longer lasting! If you wish to mix with another of your favorite soap bases such as shea butter (that is a bit softer soap), go ahead and try mixing 2 lb olive oil melt pour soap to 1 lb extra hard clear base for a moisturizing, yet very long lasting soap. Now, you can have the best of both worlds!
