Cotton canvas: The canvas used for these 3D stretchers is the same
as the one used for the cotton canvas stretchers
(400 gr./m2).
These 3D stretchers are recommended to work in multi-type. These stretchers are more voluminous and made of Paulina wood which is lighter than pine. The originality of these 3D stretchers is that they have thick sides that can be painted and they give dimension to the work. The Pebeo Black Canvas gives great colour contrast.
To obtain a canvas of regular appearance, you need to use quality thread. The best quality threads are from long fibers, which are more regular, homogenous and solid. Apart from the long fibers, the thread selected by Pebeo is small in diameter (Nm15) and that increases its cleanliness. Pebeo offers a homogeneous and strong linen canvas and to attain that, the weaving is done so that the canvas has an equal number of threads (12 in warp and 12 in weft).
The coating of the Pebeo linen is done industrially (very regular) with modern formulas: the impregnation layer that does not crack (contrary to skin glue) and stabilizes the canvas, 2 white finishing layers that allow the canvasses to accept all types of paint
