CORO Trembler Camellia Rhinestone/Enamel Dress Clips, designed by Adolf Katz
This gorgeous "trembler" floral dress clip set would have had a frame called a "duette", that would have held them together to make fairly sizeable brooch.
Unfortunately that part has been lost - it is rare to find these as complete sets.
According to p.104 of 2008 edition of Brunialti, Amercian Costume Jewelry & Art, 1935 - 1950 these are attributed to Adolf Katz and called "Katz Quivering Camellia". Coro 1939.
Gold colour coating and silver tone are the base for this lovely floral trembler. It has numerous crystal, emerald and ruby colour rhinestones in both the baguettes and chaton shapes.
The leaves are green colour enamel. Some of the small chaton rhinestones have darkened with age, but all appear to be present. There is some enamel loss on the leaves. The back of each piece near the tip is etched "Pat. #D-77070". The backs are so shiny they appear to have never been worn.
Each measures approximately 2.25 inches in length
The pics are taken under two different light settings, the first two show the true colours.

Any cost related to shipping (i.e. duty taxes by your country or brokerage fees) are the responsibility of the buyer. Purchaser is responsible for all shipping and handling costs. We take every precaution to pack our items to arrive safely.
Please keep in mind most items are vintage or antique and have had a previous life - so some wear is expected. The Flea knows it is hard to buy items with just our great photos and a description, so we strongly suggest that you email for more information, before deciding to purchase. Also, my home is smoke free, but I purchase from a number of venues and cannot guarantee that everything comes from a smoke free environment. However, rest assured I do not purchase items that reek of smoke and everything I do purchase is cleaned (if possible) and inspected for any damage.
Unless it states in the description sold "As Is", we will work with you and if you are still not satisfied, The Flea will gladly refund the cost of the item, BUT NOT THE SHIPPING CHARGES. All refunds must be prearranged and must be returned to us within 7 days of your delivery. Thanks for understanding.
