Unique ART GLASS Vase or Bowl FREEFORM Design with Open Work Edging & inner coloured swirls by ARTE MURANO ITALY - original label!
This beautiful study in art glass has its original clear and gold label on the inside bowl base "Arte Murano Made in Italy". The Freeform design flows like a lovely sea creature, with open work edging and various "arm" or loop heights. The clear glass is layered with swirls of reddish pink, bright yellow and white encased inside the clear outer layer. There is one tiny spot of blue within the pink area. Each openwork loop ends with a clear glass ribbed upright tab. One loop or "arm" extends upwards and starts to close gracefully over the top of the bowl. The base is ridged in an incised or carved diamond pattern and measures approx. 2 3/4 inches in diameter. The bowl is about 9 3/4 inches across in most directions and stands about 5 3/4 inches at the highest point. The other loops are about 2 inches tall. The glass is very smooth, with ribs or ridges on the ends of the rounded loops. There are no chips, no scratches, no cracks and no cloudiness. This bowl is in excellent condition! A very pretty and totally unique example of Italian Murano Art Glass! Great for display!
