Antique Bohemian Ruby Cut to Clear Cruet Egermann

Here is a lovely old glass cruet with its original stopper. This cruet bottle is ruby cut to clear, attributed to Egermann, or said to be in the Egermann style. The thin fused ruby layer is cut away and decorated with fancy Baroque designs. This cruet has the typical designs seen on these cruets, and also has a bird design in the area under the spout.

This beautiful Bohemian ruby cut to clear cruet is in very good condition. The bottom of the stopper has some minor roughness, but otherwise there are no chips or cracks. There is a polished pontil mark on the bottom.

Size is approx. 5-1/2" to the top of the stopper. Not counting the stopper, the cruet bottle is approx. 4-1/2" at its tallest.  The base has a diameter of approx. 2-1/4".
