Very nice antique hanging scale from the Gifford Wood Co. The scale has all of its original parts, including the iron hanging ring at the top, and the bottom weight hook. It measures up to 300 lbs, and appears to be in good working order. The silver medallion on the top has the Gifford name, as well as Chicago, Ill., Hudson, NY, and Boston, Mass. The seal marks it as approved Type 34 Serial 1 New York City.

There is some light rust and worn paint to the body of the scale, as can be expected. The is also a split to the small metal band on the top of the unit. We have been careful to include a photo. The scale measures 16" in length if you include the top and bottom hooks. It has an approximate width of 3". This is a fantastic, heavy piece. We have had it hanging on display, and it looks fantastic. Please feel free to ask any questions.

WE DO NOT CHARGE EXTRA FOR LABOR, HANDLING OR MATERIALS COSTS. However, we do take extreme extra care when packing, and china, glass and fragile items are wrapped in extensive bubble wrap, peanuts, many times double-boxed, etc. This adds to the weight and dimensions of the final shipment, but our buyers are happy because their items arrived safely! We are open during the weekend, so local pickup is always an option.

We do not ship large furniture items, but we are more than happy to work with your preferred freight carrier. We can recommend several freight companies that have good results. Our warehouse has a full loading dock, freight elevators, etc, so freight pickup is no problem.
