An exceptionally handsome Antique English Regency Longcase Grandfather Clock with a truly impressive, wide-bodied flame mahogany case marked by beautiful wood graining patterns. This elegant Antique English Grandfather clock is crowned with gilded rosettes and a ball finial topped by an eagle with wings outstretched. Signed by the recognized clockmaker, James Green, who worked in Liverpool between 1800 and 1829, this Antique English Grandfather Clock is from the Regency period; the period when King George IV sat on the throne of England while his father, King George III, suffered from madness. A lovely Moonroller feature above the face marks the phases of the moon and has hand-painted sailing ships. The four corners of the face are also hand-painted with gilding and red and green circles. Overall Condition is Used - Good. The clock is in running condition. The case shows wear and minor damage to the veneer above the face and at the neck. The dial has been professionally hand-restored and is bright and colorful. There is a small crack on the back side of the upper column on the right side of the clock, which is only seen from the back. There are miscellaneous nicks, dings, and scratches to the finish due to age and use.
