From the 1780's is this primitive wood work sled, known as a pung.
Used to haul hay, milk, wood, Maple sap etc. during the snowy months.
The handmade sled is of Maple which is coated with linseed oil, and iron runner; Blacksmith made.
The construction is pegging and square iron nails, a 3 plank top.

The handle is 34 inches long.
These make great coffee tables with plexiglass tops and legs, wall decor, or accent pieces.
