After being damaged by fire on several occasions, the interior was decorated by leading Venetian artists of the 16th century, including Titian, Tintoretto, and Paolo Veronese. S. Maria della Grazie is a Renaissance church erected by the Dominicans from 1465 to 1490 was finished by Bramante. The interior (now restored), is adorned with frescoes by Gaudenzio Ferrari in the fourth chapel on the right, and the impressive dome, gallery and cloisters all by Bramante. Vendramin Palace is one of the fine examples of Italian Renaissance architecture. The Venetian palace exemplifies the typical features of Venetian palaces.
