Aromatherapy Fragrance Oil Hawaiian Pikake Jasmine Oil
Hawaiian Pikake cosmetic grade fragrance oil blended with our own All-Hawaiian base (carrier) oil that features coconut, macadamia, kukui, and avocado oils. This quality fragrance oil smells just like our Big Island Hawaiian Pikake, or Jasmine oil. Our Hawaiian Pikake oil is excellent for oil diffusers, pot-pourri, or wear it as an exciting fragrance.
On the Hawaiian islands, pikake flowers are used to make the "wedding lei", a necklace of beautiful white flowers for the bride. It represents eternal love and aloha! In Hawaiian, pikake means both peacock and jasmine. The pikake flower was named by Hawaii's Princess Kaiulani, who adorned herself in necklaces of the scented white flowers and compared their beauty to the peacocks that roamed in her royal gardens. Fragrance oil like this is a blend of essential oils that offer a cost effective alternative to the genuine Pikake essential oil, which is a very expensive and difficult oil to obtain. In fact, pikake, or jasmine, is one of the most difficult and time consuming oils to produce. A tremendous amount of pikake flowers are needed to produce even small amounts of oil. And our Hawaiian pikake is a night blooming flower, so harvesting must be done at dawn, and only lasts for an hour or two.
Although fragrance oils do not have the therapeutic value of an essential oil used for aromatherapy, the fragrant aroma is very pleasing, and just might make you feel better! Plus, our All-Hawaiian carrier oil is good for your skin. We use a carrier oil for all of our fragrance oils, as they are made from essential oils, and possibly some synthetic oil, and it is always good aromatherapy practice not to apply pure essential oil directly to the skin, especially if there is no way to be sure exactly what it contains.
Hawaiian pikake fragrance oil is one of our best oils to wear instead of perfume or cologne!
