First it is not really a painting; it is true the classic Thai maidens are painted on fine rice paper. But that is were the painting ends. What the artist has done here is to take the wings of real butterflies and make a collage with them to form the scene shown.  The artist has used rice paper, cotton, paints, natural herbs and butterfly wings to make these wonderful works of art.
Each one is handmade and unique no two scenes can ever be alike. The detail is unbelievable, taking many hours to complete each one.  These are original works of art.
I have lived in Thailand and travel throughout SE Asia for many years. This is the most unique item I have ever listed here on Bonanzle. I found these by accident, when I was lost driving in a remote part of Northern Thailand. I stop at a small farm and the Thai family was making these works of art.
 Needless to say, I purchase every one of these that the family had. If you truly want a fine work of art no one else has this is the listing for you. Because each one is different, the photo shown is the artwork that will be shipped.
