Item is one underframe that fits an Athearn EMD SD40-2 locomotive. Thisframe is older style with molded on pins that hold the shell made before 2000. The trucks did not change with the frame and will fit regardless of when theywere made. This frame will fit in an Athearn SD40-2 shell with an open gap for the coupler. Frame does not include clip for headlight. All frames are used but straight and undamaged unless noted. Painted frames may have paint flaked off in places, however, areas visible when installed in a locomotive will be retouched. Contact surfaces have been cleaned so that all frames will work in a powered or dummy locomotive.
All items are inspected to ensure that they ship in working order ready to use. Any damage or wear outside of that which comes from normal usage is noted above in the description. Photos are of the actual item for sale, or if more than one is available, representative of any of them.
