Gold filled Bangle
Dated Dec 26, 1905
2.25 by 2.5 inch inside diameter
Just under .5 inch wide
I obtained this antique bangle bracelet along with several other vintage pieces at an estate sale. The previous owner was there, a little elderly lady who is moving into a retirement community. She talked on and on about her costume jewelry and had a little story for most pieces. It was a pleasure spending time and talking with her. She said she believes she’s had this piece for at least half her life, but wouldn’t tell me her age, LOL.
The bracelet has an inside diameter of 2.25 by 2.5 inches and is about a half inch wide. The top portion has a leaf motif design, the under side is blank. In the center of the top portion there is a blank area about a half inch long. My guess is that it was made that way so an initial could be engraved there. Closure is by a little slide in bar.
On the inside, one side is marked ‘Bates B’ the other side is marked ‘PAT’D Dec. 26. 05’.
The bracelet is not marked gold filled, but every Bates and Bacon bracelet that I saw online while researching this one said they are gold filled, so I’m going with that. There are some age appropriate faint scratches, much like jewelry will get when sliding around with other pieces in a jewelry box.
Postal Insurance and Signature Confirmation will be mandatory on this piece. Since these safeguards are for both of our protection, I will split the cost with the buyer. The delivery charge will be 6.00.
REMEMBER, YOU WILL HAVE TO SIGN FOR THE PACKAGE UPON DELIVERY.
I do combine shipping on multiple purchases as long as one payment is submitted and all items can safely fit into one package.
All items in my listings come from estate sales, garage sales, or various auctions. I do not know if they come from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
