*Vintage cardigan, raglan sleeved wool knit sweater that most likely dates to the 1950-1960's era.

*Body is lined with cream colored rayon satin.

*Heavily hand beaded on the outside with white faceted beads, and set off by thousands of white seed beads. Beading is around the entire neckline, (front and back), down both sides of the front, and on the sleeve cuffs.

*10 sets of hook and eye closures on the front.

Overall the sweater is in good used condition, but because it's a light colored vintage piece, there are some notworthy items:

There is staining throughout the lining, (inside of the collar and randomly throughout the lining). While it is quite evident on the inside, neither is noticeable from the outside.

There are also a few missing beads. There are no tears in the lining, but there are some moth holes that were there when I purchased it. (description below). I've not fixed the holes or tried to launder the sweater. If you are skilled at mending holes, please do so only if they bother you. Otherwise, it might be best to leave them alone or hire a professional to mend and clean the sweater. If you don't mind the small holes and staining, you can wear the sweater as is or store it as a museum piece.

There is a small moth hole on the right front panel (about 9", [23cm], from the hem), 2 small holes on the right front panel, near the collar, and 3 tiny holes on the right sleeve back.
NOTE - photos have been deliberately underexposed to illustrate moth holes. The darkness of the photo does not mean that the item is soiled.

There is some pilling of the wool on the outside, but the pilling can easily and gently be removed without harming the sweater.

There are also a few tiny and barely noticeable stains on one sleeve near the cuff. I have photos of the above blemishes, so if you have questions or need to know more, please contact me and I'll be happy to share more photos and explanations about the condition of this sweater.
