This is a wonderful heavy stoneware mixing bowl made by Bennington Pottery of Vermont. The mold number is 1876 and this is the medium size which will nest with the larger size number 1877 bowl.

The glaze is Blue Agate which Bennington states is their most popular glaze coloration. It is a heavy spatter of deep cobalt blue on a warm tan clay  underglaze.

This bowl is 6.6" wide and 5.5" deep. It is a very versatile shape and will give you many years of service.

The bowl is in pristine condition and is free of chips or cracks. In fact, it appears to be unused.
