Bias Tape Maker Pressing Tip for 2-1/2" cut strip Quilt Binding

How many times have you burned your fingers with the iron and hot pins while pressing binding tape for your quilts?

This is a tip for the Simplicity Bias Tape Maker which folds and presses flat bias strip into single fold bias tape. The quilter's secret is, you don't need the $100 machine, just the tip, one pin, your iron and ironing board!.

Prepare to be amazed at how fast you can press bias tape and do a perfect job without using a gazillion pins or burning your fingers. If you don't like it send it back for a refund. It is our new favorite tool!

Directions:

• After making your 2-1/2" bias strip press all the seams in the same direction.
• Thread one end of the binding through the tip so that the seams are pointing away from the tip, towards the back.
• Use a single pin stuck into the ironing board to hold the tape. See photo.
• Pull the binding tool with your left hand--ironing the tape flat as it comes out the tip. When you reach a seam tug gently to pull it through. Photo 2.
• When you reach the end of your ironing board reposition your tape and pin, repeat.
• Done.
