This is a vintage round 3 x 1.25 tin from the 1930's. It is painted brown with the red and green label denoting the Maker as The Zanol American Products Co. of Cinncinatti, Ohio. on the front and states it is for man or beast. It weighs 2 ounces and contained 3 ounce of salve for exterior wounds and minor skin irritations. The back advertising print is the directions and is well worn. The front is moderately worn but legible. From the late 1800 to early 1900 is this mustard compound produced by The Rawleigh Company in a squared white milk glass jar. it weighs 12 ounces and holds 3.5 ounces of the ointment. The label is partially intact The screw top cap is tin with the company name pressed into it in script. The jar stands 3.25 x 2.5 with bull nosed corners.
