You may buy just one piece for an accent, or build a whole dining-room set. My customized painted furniture listings allow you to pick out only the components of a set that you require. The photo above illustrates a customized set, in our antique butter-cream with granny green accents on the medallions. The customer browsed our selection, selected the specific components of the set, and then selected the custom colors. Rather than settling for what's already in a set that's already painted in a color you may not want, as you will find with other sellers, you can make your room your way. It's easy! Hardware Swap: For those who prefer the depression glass knobs, I am happy to swap out the old metal duds for high quality new reproduction glass knobs in the depression style. These knobs come in a variety of colors you may use to contrast and coordinate your room. Here is an example of the most common clear knob on one of our distressed pieces in heirloom ivory:

AVAILABLE SIZES: Sideboards and servers come in standardized sizes. The full-size sideboard/buffets increase in 6-inch increments, from 48" to 78". The most common & most popular is the 66" model. Companion servers increase in 2-inch increments, from 36-40", the most common and popular being the 36" model. This listing is for the full-size LARGE models, from 60-66". They average 20" deep and around 36" high to the flat surface. Backsplashes, depending on model, can be 1-2 1/2" additional height at the rear. ABOUT OUR COTTAGE CRAFTSMANSHIP: Items are finished in my own professional distressed enamel paint, hand-rubbed, and sealed with a professional varnish coat for protection and durability. **ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTE!** This is not do-it-yourselfer paint, but rather a professional quality oil-based finish. Our competition slaps on the cheapest housepaint they can find and simply scuffs or actually scrapes off the edges of the wood, leaving it damaged and open to the elements, not to mention unrealistic. My pieces are gently rubbed through to the old finish underneath on all surfaces, not just the corners, but flat surfaces as well, and completely sealed with multiple coats of old-fashioned varnish against the damaging effects of the atmosphere. The result is a smoother, softer surface that will remain durable for years to come, and a look and presence far more authentic than what our competition will offer you. In many cases you can see woodgrain through the painted finish, as well as the tiny imperfections that show a piece's true age and give it character. It has my own secret satin-touch smooth feel, free of drips and brush-marks, in a soft heirloom color with the true look of a genuine antique paint job, worn around the edges in all the right places. I call it "worn to perfection" and am well-known for excellent quality craftsmanship. Although I do my own finishes, I use authentic antiques and vintage, ranging in age from 60 to 125 years old, and the finished paint jobs so authentic in look and feel they have been known to fool unsuspecting dealers. I have sold chic orders to happy customers many times over the past decade, and my pieces have even been used in restaurants and bed&breakfasts around the country, and on occasion the magazine spreads for cottage decor you see at the bookstore and in the grocery check-outs. Whether for home use or commercial, you have my guarantee of a professional and high-quality end product. COLORS & EFFECTS: My standard and most popular color is an antiqued off-white or heirloom white know as Antique Ivory, although both bright white and cream colors are also available. You may order to your own liking, specifying more or less wear, "chippy" or not so chippy, combinations of colors, "frosting" (where two shades of a color are blended into one another- a dark for highlights fading into a light shade on larger open areas, ala 1920s), as well as  "Krackle-Koated" finish, a highly authentic crackled treatment. Other colors include colonial slate-gray, medium light gray, black, pale granny green, Victorian moss, seafoam, pale or canary yellow, farm red, baby blue, pink, coral, and French blue. My colors are based on and inspired by actual paints and colors popularly used during historic periods. For instance, granny green, cream, and pale pink are commonly seen in the 1920s, whereas "Victorian moss" is just that- Victorian, from the 1870s-1890s. Black strongly resembled antiqued black lacquer and was used in a variety of periods. We have owned and sold furniture from these periods in original paint in these colors, and I am well-known for highly authentic colors and effects. You won't find a better or more realistic painted restoration anywhere else. For samples of colors and effects, you may view or order a sample color pallet by contacting me.

This is a CUSTOM-order. YOU ARE ORDERING MY SERVICES. The purchase of a service implies by nature your agreement to allow me to change or alter your property. Purchasing services also by nature implies that you agree to allow the time appropriate for the completion of work. I reserve the right to alter the ETA on completion as necessary and appropriate for the project, as it may be difficult to tell how long some jobs will take until they are underway. ETA also depends upon the number of orders I have at a given time of year, and is always weather-dependent and health-dependent. Craftsman reserves the right to cater timing of services around item safety, quality of outcome, and personal safety. 

IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO COOPERATE AND ALLOW THE TIME REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE WORK, THEN KINDLY TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. 

I offer lightning-speed specialty work that you will not find anywhere else in the world. You are not buying an object- you are commissioning handi-crafts, similar to commissioning a piece of fine art. I offer it for a fraction of the cost compared to the few other firms willing to do this work, and as such I expect your full and complete cooperation. This is not an importer catalog warehouse. If time-frame is an issue for you, it is always best to e-mail your intentions prior to purchase to ensure your request can be filled in a timely manner, especially if you require other specialty effects or restorations that require liason with other specialists, such as upholstery or caning. I do not guarantee the timing of other craftsmen/women. 

The time or speed of work is never guaranteed and is completely separate from shipping/handling times and other craftsmen that may be subcontracted to suit your request.

In addition to work time, an order may have "lead time"- that is the time it takes to complete other orders placed before yours, and to prepare the item and work space for your work. Services are first-come-first-served, and I reserve the right to withhold services until those customers that came before you have been taken care of first. Due to extremely high demand, I no longer offer expedited services. If a buyer should demand a rush order without approval, it will result in cancellation of that order without refund. DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Your deposit in part pays the craftsman for the time, labor, and expertise of design and consultation, which is impossible to reverse after it has been furnished to you. For this reason we regret we are unable to refund deposits on canceled custom work. This is standard in this industry.
